.While in Singapore covering fashion this spring an interior home store was discovered, also housing unique fashion.



Linen and More (L&M) owner Manisha Gattani explains how fashion flows into interior design and how she gets a feel for her clients style to select designs for both home and apparel. ‘Fashion and interior design go hand in hand. You’ll commonly discover that the same intricate embroidery used in home accessories will be found on a dressy tunic or scarf. New patterns, colors, textures and prints are first seen in fashion and gradually migrate to influence interior décor through decorative accessories, soft furnishings, linens, carpet, curtains and more.’

How would you describe Linen and More to a new customer?

Linen & More’s home collection is a blend of trendy and contemporary styles. We carry various designs and textures to suit differences in interior tastes. Vibrant new colors and exclusive designs give a fresh, quick and simple yet exciting make over to any interior. We stock our Linen fashion wear with classic styles throughout the year but add in seasonably influenced designs frequently.

How do you get a feel for your client’s style to translate it into interior decor?


I find that a client’s style of dressing typically hints to their interior design style. Often I am able to gauge the preferred type of aesthetic environment my client hopes to achieve in their home simply by observing their general fashion sense.’



How would you describe L&M’s style?


Traditional — Furnishings that hint at the past but still have a timeless appeal. We carry Paisleys and Damasks. The Paisleys prints and Warli prints make up our casual collection. Paisley prints are commonly used in formal fashion wear.


Eclectic Bold — A mixture of vibrant colors and vintage pieces.


Contemporary Elegant – tailored and clean lined pieces made with exquisite fabrics such as silks, taffeta & linens


Rustic – Natural woven wood window coverings, reclaimed woods for furnishings, casual fabrics (i.e. linens, cottons & jute)
